their lagers get all the love, but do not sleep on their hoppy stuff here, i repeat, templin makes fire ipa, let it be known! this is a banger, as modern as they come, maxed out on intensity without any greenness, terpene forward and super fruity and bright, light on the grain side, deliciously fresh and drinkable, the first pull kind of blew my mind, unserious packaging but serious beer. glowing yellow color to this, pretty close to perfect clarity, fluffy white head, nice. the nose is maybe mosaic forward, maybe some cryo hops in here, it hits so early and so robust, verdant without being vegetal, a hard thing to pull off, and i get subtle mango, peach, and lemon candy as well, pineapple from the can, white grape, jasmine, its just popping! some tropical fruit candy in the taste, kiwi, melon, more lemon and mango both, so alive and new, slightly catty as it warms again maybe mosaic, but there could also be something southern hemisphere in here, it has that limey galaxy thing going on, maybe nectaron or something too, i would love to know, but its well combined and dosed, could be hop products in play with this level of fruitiness. the grain is real light in flavor but does have enough body to support all this hop character, insanely minimal really, this is indeed the new west coast, lower bitterness too, but enough pop there to linger a little bit, off dry overall but cleanly fermented for sure. the hop waves that come in this are just wonderful, such a high quality and distinctive ipa, templin always delivers!
