Grabbed a bottle of this and a can of a sour from Celestial Beerworks after stopping by with Nick on a work trip back in December. Nothing great for a description that I could see, but the bottle read a “Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Coconut, Caramel & Chocolate.”
Poured a pitch black color with four fingers of rocky-to-frothy tan head. Could see a bunch of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect uneven foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, brownie batter, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak and coconut flakes. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. First thought was that it was so damn smooth for 15 pct. ABV. Got milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, brownie batter, caramel, toffee, vanilla, coconut, bourbon and oak. (Taste - 4.25)
Full body. Sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Great beer. Wanted to like it just a little more but I’d have this all the time if I could. (Overall - 4.50)

Bought this bottle at the brewery a couple weeks ago. Pours a very dark oily brown color with good effervescent head. The head fades quickly and there is no lacing. With the 15% ABV, this is not surprising. Distinct smell and taste of coconut and dark chocolate, vert much like a Mounds bar with some caramel and vanilla. Some warm booziness. Very good sipping stout.
