Bought at Liquor Shed. Brewed and canned in Rochester New York.

It pours a clear pale gold with a very impressive head of foam.

Smells quite hoppy, grapefruit with some notes of pine.

The taste is good. Grapefruit citrus, pine, cracker malt. I can't decipher the dating code so I don't know how old it is but it's good as is.

Light bodied, it gets quite thin in the finish.

Surprising how solid this brew is, considering its maker and price. More hop character and flavor than I expected, which is a good thing. Maybe a better value than Sam ‘76. Although a little thin and one dimensional, it is highly drinkable and the low abv makes this sessionable. Will probably buy again.

Can’t beat this deal! I am a fan of craft beers of any variety. These beers are much cheaper than standard craft ipa’s or ipl’s. Good hoppy flavor with this beer, not too bitter. A great beer for someone trying a hoppy beer for the first time! It’s not overwhelming and great on a hot summer day!

6 pack of pint cans for $8? Sure! Used to like the Blue Light once upon a time...I figured it would be a safe bet for a cheap light beer with a twist of flavor.
Poured into pint glass, it's slightly hazy, light honey gold, and a full foamy, airy head is persistent. Nice!
Smells fresher and hoppier than a typical LaBatt instantly, no doubt. Maybe not the most authentic hop aroma if you're a craftier IPA fan, but not far from craft pale ales at smaller places. A great intro beer for hop curious folks.
Taste is a pleasant, smooth light lager, cracker malt, lemon-peppery and other hop factors instantly cut any hint of sweetness down into a good finish. The feel is great, fairly light and very much a crusher.
Overall, it's a success! Cheap, available, versatile, and certainly decent enough for a few with a game/pizza, etc.
I'm usually a local craft guy, and sprinkle in bargain buys for reference/education, fwiw. This a is a good beer at the price.

Dunno what to expect here. Went to some out of the way obscure liquor store in bumfuck Carleton, Michigan for a get together near a friends newest 80 acre house warming purchase. Store was for sale or maybe already sold and they had limited options and this was one. We shall see.

Look - Clear golden hue with a head and a half if bubble. Low stick.

Smell - The usual IPL profile. Hops, malts, grapefruits in small amount, pineapple here and there. Minimal grain

Taste - Hops turn up. The floral mosaic and the fruity cintra blend nicely. Lower moderate hop levels. Sweet. Crispy.

Feel - Thicker than the style would have you believe. Swallows a touch thick with low carbonation.

Overall - For $9.99 a 15 pack you can't beat it and it may be one of the greatest values I have ever seen. I will add an additional .25 to the overall for value. An easy, flavorful enough drinker. Is this a world class IPL? Nah. But it's pretty good for what it is. Try it out, ignore the Labatt Blue boldy embedded on the label and draw your own conclusions as always.

5.99 for a 15 pack. I could not pass. I will be back to buy more on this deal. This is certainly not an all-time great but it is really solid session IPL with a better body and malt feel than most while also offering a nice citrus/floral/hop impression on the nose and flavor. The body is firmer than a lot in this style. Pours a bit aggressive with a ton substantial foaminess.

The hops are evident and add an enjoyable juicy dimension rather than a sharp bitter impression. Light oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit are prominent on the taste and the aroma brings the same with a some floral notes as well.

Rating as a beer not a value but for 40 cents a beer roughly this is a nice deal.

Very decent beer, certainly for the price. Golden in color with a few fingers of fluffy white head. Drank the brew left in the can while the foam settled. Nice aromas of citrus hops and cracker, some grain. Flavor is surprisingly full of pine and grapefruit, as advertised. The only knock I have on it is that as it warms, the hop flavor disappears and is replaced by the usual sweet-corn and biscuit AAL flavors.

Draft: Poured a light clear yellow lager with a medium size white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light citrusy hops notes with light sweet notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of light dry floral undertone notes of citrus hops with some sweet notes also perceptible. Body is light with good carbonation. Better than expected but still a bit too light on hops for my taste.

Pours golden yellow, with a slight cloudiness. Light carbonation. Foamy one inch head. Nice lacing.

Grapefruity, floral aroma.

Taste of grapefruit and pine. Nice bitterness.

Medium bodied, foamy mouthfeel.

I never thought Labatt's could produce a decent beer. This beer proves me wrong. A nice, drinkable session beer, with a decent bitterness which should appeal to IPA lovers.
