This is a very handsome coppery color, a brew they call an English Tan, a "softened version of an English Brown Ale." In any case it's malty, clean, and highly quaffable. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the brewery tasting room.
Rich and nutty flavor. Distinct butterscotch and a hit of coffee. A hint of leafy hops. Not at all bitter but there is a little woody afertaste. Roasted grain and caramel with a long nose of hazlenut. IBUs are rated at 25.
