On tap at the brewery. Pours red in white head. Body is medium, slightly crisp. Taste is of caramel malt, red fruit, peppery alcohol and earthy hops. Long dry finish. Nice brew.

At taproom in San Diego - listed as a Sticke Altbier - apparently “sticke” refers to secret altbier with higher alcohol.
Pours a deep warm reddish amber, clear, with tight cream coloured head.
Aroma is a bit muted - caramel malt, perhaps a bit of honey, slightly bready.
Tastes of sweet caramel malt, toffee, somewhat nutty with just a hint of a hop presence and a fleeting bitterness at the finish, but sweet malt runs the show.
Medium full mouthfeel - moderate carbonation - sweet malty flavours hang - the 9.0% ABV is nowhere to be seen - dangerously drinkable and totally delicious.
