At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Bobcaygeon, Ontario brewery, and first for 2025. With Gracie the cat...

Poured a nice gold color. Not much foam and dies down quick. Not really much lacing, but there is a little.
A little malt and hop aroma to the beer.
Taste is rather good. A little malty and the right amount of bitterness for a light beer. A small taste of raw bread dough.
It's easy to drink and I could get more of these.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 10 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, deep golden-yellow colour, initially topped with one finger of loose, soapy white head that collapses within a minute or two. A thin collar is the only survivor, with no cap and minimal lace production. Neutral, inoffensive aroma of grains, bready malts and a touch of boiled vegetables.
It tastes alright: I'm getting sourdough & grainy malt sweetness, with just a little bit of apple fruitiness by mid-sip. Not much of a hop presence to speak of, but then again, it's light beer. Slightly doughy-sweet finish that doesn't carry over into the off-dry aftertaste. Light in body, with relatively low carbonation and a smooth, somewhat slick mouthfeel that is less crisp and refreshing than I'd like from a light lager. It's still very easy to toss back, however.
Final Grade: 3.35, an unremarkable B-. Yellow Lab isn't one of the better Ontario craft lagers I've tried in recent memory, but I suppose I could drink this again in a pinch. For reference's sake, I've bought about a half dozen of these over the last couple of months, but I doubt I'll be a regular consumer in the future. There are just too many alternative lagers and pilsners that do a better job for basically the same price, if not slightly cheaper. Still, if you enjoy light lagers and are trying to shop local, then I'd say it's worth trying for yourself.

Bright yellow gold under a moderate head. Sure yellow enough to earn its name Fairly good lace as you go. Middle of the road stuff. Drinkable, but undistinguished. Subdued nose, low key flavour profile.
