this is pretty generous use of the term kriek, like kriek is supposed to be cherry lambic, not just any old kettle sour with cherries, which is what i suspect this is, nothing wild or funky about it at all, mild acidity not even really all that tart, nothing beyond the acid in the ferment at all, less interesting than hoped for, but it tastes good, just simple and a little misleading. clear and ruby red jewel toned, not much head at all, but a nice color, a little deeper than expected. a little bit of cherry medicine in the nose for me, but the cherry is obvious, the base beer aside from the fruit is super simple, maybe some wheat but not much body from it, modest sweetness underneath the cherry tang, but this base beer without the fruit would be boring as they come, simple golden ale type, very mild kettle sour pucker to it. the cherry taste is good, more mild than the color indicates, clean, nothing to the ferment, light body for its alcohol content, simple really, just cherry juice. not a bad beer, not at all, just not as exotic as they try to make it sound. more bubbles would improve this, its a little flat for me. juicy and tasty enough, should appeal to just about anyone who likes fruit beer, the sourness is a borderline nonfactor.

Can bought at Liquor Shed. BB June 12th 2021.

It pours a clear mahogany with a good head of off white foam. That shrinks to a ring around the glass.

The smell is not all that enticing. Yeah, some cherry tartness, some sweetish notes. No more than that.

The taste is just as boring. Light tartness from the cherries, little bit of sweetness. Good grief.

Mouthfeel is not that good as well. Undercarbonated.

Just not a good offering. Glad I only bought a single.
