their house pils mixed with lemonade, a flavorful and easygoing shandy, sweeter than it needs to be, but most of them are these days, and on a warm summer morning, this seems about as good as anything else to drink. pale yellow in color with a short white head and a little haziness, aroma of bigtime lemon, white sugar, and still some pils malt coming through keeping it beery, not at all hoppy, the lager yeast is mostly lost to the lemonade, and there is a candied aspect to it, but its got some tang too and my mouth waters to taste it. the lemonade is way more forward than the base beer in the flavor, i think that is the trend with these right now, but i personally think the balance is off, which is to say that there isnt much balance, just a little of the dusty german type malt pushes through, nothing else, and its a very sweet lemonade, this sits on my tongue and teeth after each sip, and even though the flavors are good, its not something i really found refreshing or particularly drinkable, which is kind of the point of shandy to me. lemon seems slightly artificial and candy-like as well, almost a kids drink vibe to this on the whole, tasty, but they could stand to turn down the lemonade in the blend. some will love this im sure, but it was overdone for me...
