Drinking a can from 2021, and it’s still very good. Murky tan/brown/almost orange with lots of particulates. Scents of bread, malt, and caramel. Taste carries over, a bit bitter. Lighter to medium bodied, dry finish, subtle alcohol presence for the abv. Good for the style, probably would have been more assertive fresher, so upping the grade on the benefit of the doubt. Better than the rating would suggest.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear, dark amber pour, a few bubbles, tiny ring. Aroma is malty, caramel, nutty, sweet. Taste is sweet malts, brown bread, toffee, hint of bitterness and smoke. Simple but divine!

This is a collaboration between Burgh'ers Brewing and Crafted Culture.
Pours clear, dark amber with a moderate head of foam and carbonation. Aroma is biscuit. Taste is caramel and bread. There is a mild tanginess and crispness to the beer. A good, true to style effort.

Excellent ruddy brown body, clear; lively carbonation; thick, spongy head, light tan in color. Light caramel sweetness to the smell. Mild toasted grain base flavor; caramel; roasted nuts; light to moderate bitterness underscores the malt sweetness. Medium body; lager smoothness; excellent malt warmth.
This is an excellent doppelbock, rich and malty with an fine appearance.
Pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning data: unknown

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium to dark reddish orange with a quarter finger light khaki head that dissipates to a thick cap with solid lacing. Aroma of dry caramel and light biscuit malt, sweet brown bread and filberts; inviting. Flavor is biscuit and bready malt with a touch of caramel, brown and rye bread and hazelnuts. Somewhat dry nutty finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An interesting take on the doppelbock style, drier and more biscuit than a continental one. The hazelnuts are a great addition and melds with the malt very well. The hazelnut component is very clear in the aroma, but not quite as nutty in the flavor until the finish, where it leaves a lingering, and pleasant aftertaste. This was a great idea brewed with expertise. Not traditional, but well worth trying.

Thanks Danny!
Poured from a 16 oz can.
On the richer side for the style. But not over the top. A smooth deep brown bread base keeps things tame.
The nose is toasty and sweet. Malt comes through as it should. An interesting hazelnut note comes through lightly on the nose but a tad more pronounced on the tongue.

16oz can into a tall glass. 2021 release for the Barrel & Flow Festival.
Looks pretty good in the glass. Deep reddish body with a decent off white head. The head shrinks to a ring, hardly any lacing.
Strong rich sweet aroma. Creamy, with a hint of Hazelnut.
On tasting, the richness and cloying sweetness is beyond what this palate can tolerate. The hazelnut is a nice touch, but may add a creaminess that makes the drink too heavy.
Mouth full, finish sweet and rich.
Overall, way too much for me. A 4oz sipper would have been enough.
