Cloudy, dirty gold color. Modest head which settles to rim bubbles. Little lace in the form of minute and infrequent spots.
The aroma is far more prickly with pine resin and a cactus-like bite.
Smooth start to the taste coming from the very rich body and the lower carbonation. The base malt has a bit of biscuit to the tongue. It’s also sweet but that shows up more in the aftertaste than in the initial portion. The bitterness is subtle and muted but strong enough to provide a full balance to the beer. Long aftertaste.
