The look is similar to gray water with a light yellow tinge. No head and no lace. Kinda ugly.
The smell is quite off for me. I am reminded of the odor of a backed up pipe from a sink. Think drains.
The smoke is predominant like a true rauchbier. The flavor is a huge improvement--I do not get any of the "off" stuff from the smell.
