Deep brown color, like spent oil. Small beige head which dies completely and quickly. Almost no lacing.
I smell dark chocolate, chalk, and alcohol. There's also a bit of a distraction which reminds me of cardboard. Faint maple syrup notes.
More sweet than the smell. Plenty of alcohol warmth, almost oily. Very thick and rich body. The entire effect is sherry like. The carbonation is very low. I get some darker cherry in the swallow. There's a light metallic aftertaste.
