Hazy, nearly cloudy. Smaller initial head that settles to no rim bubbles, leaving no lace. The color is dirty gold.
Well balanced smell of sweeter pale malt and subtle floral hop. A bit of warming alcohol as well.
The warming alcohol is up front on the initial taste. Fuller body with a lower carbonation. This imperial IPA leans to the malt, which I find refreshing from the usual fare. The hop bites only in the swallow but never dominates. Shorter aftertaste.
