Golden yellow body with a slight haze; good head, white and lasting with foam rings marking each sip and with sparse fingers of foam coursing down the glass. Excellent cereal grain scent with a herbal and light phenol nose. Beautiful flavor; malty with a zesty herbal hop profile. Medium body; ticklish carbonation; subtly dry.
A nice find and quite enjoyable on tap.

this place was a cool random find yesterday, way down in the southeast part of town where i rarely am, but it seems like some cool little spots like this are starting to spring up. they are using primarily colorado grown and malted grain, which is really cool and give all their beers a neat fresh agricultural element, even in simple styles like this kolsch. not as light or clear as i am used to in the style, but a great nose to it of wildflower honey, a kiss of sweet barley malt, and an almost lagered german yeast character to it, some minerals and some noble hops evident as well, but well behind the grain and honey, very appealing, i would think anyone who likes beer at all would find this attractive. the flavor is nice, not real sweet as the honey is largely fermented out, but some of its summery essence remains. i love the freshness of the grain, its obvious that its something different than most employ, and even though the beer isnt as dry as i generally like my kolsch types to be, i kind of like the flavor of the slightly sweet finish, and it doesnt detract from drinkability for me at all. a very well made, fresh, and simple beer with nice balance and pretty distinct for being so minimal. nicely done, my favorite of the beers i had while i was in!
