Our gateway beer. Light and crisp, this ale is reminiscent of many macro-lagers. Brewed with flaked corn, which adds a fullness not found in most lighter ales. Lightly hopped using Cascade hops.

On draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a clear, bright gold with a modest ecru-colored cap and minimal lacing. The nose offers sweet grains, corn, citrus, and just a whiff of spice. Initially, the taste is quite sweet with grainy malt but it is soon balanced by some nice spicy, hop bitterness. There is also just a hint of tart citrus. The mouth feel is lite and crisp with fairly lively carbonation, and it is super drinkable at 4.6% ABV. It would not be difficult to drink a lot of this ale. It would be perfect for outdoor activities. Overall, few breweries have a Cream Ale as its flagship but Oyster Creek has pulled it off. YELLOWcake is a tasty, crushable, and highly versatile Ale. Drink it with a hero sandwich or burger or on the beach.
