Our barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout returns for our 5th Anniversary! Aged for 9+ months in J. Henry Bourbon barrels, this year's version has intense aromas of chocolate and stewed fruits. The favor is full of sweet malt, caramel, and roast with layers of vanilla, coffee, coconut, and oak. It's our highest ABV version yet, but drinks oh so smoothly!

Poured from a 16 oz can into two snifters.
Look: Very dark brown ā nearly black; small dark tan head dissipated rather quickly, leaving almost no lacing.
Nose: A balanced mixture of dark roast, dark chocolate, bourbon.
Mouthfeel: Thick, very smooth, and creamy.
Attack: Follows the nose closely and more deeply, plus appropriate sweetness.
Finish: Balancing bitterness from the dark roast, alcohol warming on the way down.
Overall: This is a winner ā a VERY nice BBA RIS, an excellent sipper. Way too high alcohol for a session, but Iād order one and enjoy it anytime/anywhere. Very nicely done, Full Mile!
