Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Opaque pale yellow with some touches of dark orange color in the body. Not quite turbid but somewhat close and more of a shine to it. Classic bright white head, fairly soapy but fine bubbled. Three fingers easily with soft foam and no lacing surprisingly.
Bold and powerful aroma. Spiced earth with large amounts of dank and nearly sweet weed like flavors on the nose. Some cake like sweetness in the malt base possibly too which makes for a lot of variety and things to explore.
Palate is quite different and also unexpected. A much fruitier palate with soft tropical notes of light guava and more light melon like flavor. Mid palate has a bit of a light texture, but just enough malt density and backbone to not be a watery experience. Finishes very fruity even more so, maybe some citrus orange and just giving to a touch of earthy character.
A very 180 beer experience from nose to taste that is for sure, but luckily not too jarring.
