First had: on tap at Big Bear, Coral Springs, FL

Served in a small glass with a few frozen blueberries at the bottom. Clear golden-yellow pour, with a thin layer of white bubbles on top that didn't really retain or leave lacing. Aroma of toasted grains and sweet blueberry. This was actually a pretty tasty fruit beer. The nose was reflected in the taste, as expected. Clean, light, blueberry, toasted grains, slightly bitter herbal hop finish. Crisp and easily drinkable. The chicks dig it, I'd imagine. Pretty nice overall, though not something I'd get again. Probably make a good lawnmower beer.

Back on tap in the Spring of 2012

A - Poured a clear, golden color with a small, short-lived white head. It left little to no lacing.

S - It smelled of blueberry and some cereal grains.

T - Nice balance of blueberry taste with some sweet caramel. Mild bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied ale with a clean finish.

O - This is a nice blueberry ale. Some can be overpowering with blueberry flavor, but this one had great balance.

What can you really say about a blueberry fruit beer? I will give credit where credit is due, however. One thing I have to say about this fruit beer is that it was clean as all get out and the nose is truely blueberry. I mean like fresh blueberry and not just a mere hint. That is respectable to create a blueberry beer that really has a fresh clean flavor and nose of blueberries. Plus they actually drop a couple of dried blueberries into your glass. Maybe some people sneer at fruit beer, but I enjoyed this.
