Yellow gold with light, foggy haze as lots of random, tiny carbonation billows upward to sustain a quarter inch, fine, foamy head. The bright white head lends a pretty cap that never dissipates, while leaving thick rings of fine lace on a Pretentious Beer Glass Company pub tulip glass.
The aroma is filled with fruit such fresh and apricot and pineapple. Mandarin orange follows, as does a fair amount of pine. Pine is more than expected, but still a supporting player.
The sweet/bitter balance is spot on with a bit of alternating waves of tartness. The fruit dominates with apricot leading the pack. The finish is long with bitterness centering on the palate.
A medium body with soft, cushy texture. Alcohol is just as expected. The carbonation is fine and cleansing.
This is a real nice NEIPA, showing range within the style. I enjoyed it after work on a cold, Friday in November. Just imagining how great this will be on a warm sunny morning. It can easily replace a 5.8% abv mimosa, even though the alcohol level is high.
