Canned 7/28/20
Pours a med-large frothy head with med retention, a little lacing, mostly clear golden pilsner color
Nose brings nice grainy malts, cereal grain, little straw and grist, a bit grassy and a lemongrass note with light citrus esters, floral phenols and maybe floral hops, a little spicy, touch of floral honey as well
Taste more grainy sweet malts, cereal grain and gristy notes, a bit of a honey sweetness and maybe cracked wheat, more lemongrass and a little citrusy ester profile, light tree fruit esters, plenty of floral phenols with a little spice as well, med-light bitterness from some spicy floral hops, a touch yeasty on the back end, raw bread dough like, dry gristy notes late with a med dry finish, bitterness attempts to ramp then just falls off, a touch sticky
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med fizzy carb
Overall a solid saison/table beer, easy drinking, nice flavors, would have liked a bit more on the ester profile but still nice, and the yeasty character was a bit much late, yet a nice enjoyable session style beer

A- Tallboy releases a mostly clear, very pale golden brew into a narrow becher glass. A small layer of foamy bubbles makes it to a finger high before falling to a small ring at the edges. Several small sheets of lacing.
S- Grainy and heavily yeasty aroma with some hops in the back end as well. Yeast ends up being dominant here with notes of Belgian yeast spice, fruit esters, slight banana/clove, pear, pepper, coriander and vanilla sweets. Grainy, bready and a touch herbal and spicy.
T- Even a bit more yeast forward than the aroma with the Belgian yeast spice front and center along with some light fruits like pear and pale grape. Pepper, vanilla sweets, whole grains and coriander. A touch grainy and bready and in the very back end has some floral and fruity hop hints, a touch tropical even or similar to cantaloupe.
MF- Very light bodied but it suits the flavors and the style and has enough of a frothy and slightly creamy texture. The carbonation is pretty high and it has a light bitterness. Crisp and fluffy.
More table beers in general please. Light yet flavorful and packed with Belgian yeast character.
