Plastic Cup (Yeah i know)
Look: Slightly hazy pale straw yellow, pouring a fluffy 1 finger head which dissipated slowly into a thin cap

Smell: Sweet cereal grain, citrusy hops, hint of vegetable hops and buttered bread

Taste: Initially its sweet doughy malt, with some citrusy hops which fades to more of a toasted malt note with some light herbal hops bitterness. The finish has a lingering whole wheat bread note and piney hops

Feel: Light medium body with a smooth texture> Moderate carbonation and a crisp finish

Evening Rise

Northwoods Brewing Company Lager - American
Notes:

I love and respect traditional style pilsners and lagers. Old world ingredients and brewing methods go a long way for me. Crisp, bready, buttery toast, sour tinged lager yeast, green and herbal flavored hops all very bright within this classic balance.

From a 16 fl. oz. can sampled on March 19, 2022.

The appearance is straw yellow with a burst of whit fizzy head that fades quickly. Good clarity.

The aroma is barley grain, toasted bread, corn, floral, and grass.

The mouthfeel is light.

The flavor is also grainy malts, sweet, with a burst of floral and grassy zest at the finish. Ends clean and crisp. Refreshing enough.

Pours a med frothy fizzy 1 finger head with lower retention, no lacing, slight hazy med golden straw color

Nose mild sweet cereal grain, a touch of blonde malt, some fruity notes under there, and a little mineral water, pretty light overall

Taste has more of that mineral water metallic notes, I'm guessing some unfiltered water, cereal grain, a little doughy, blonde malt and a touch of vanilla, very light hop character, more fruity as it goes, a touch of bitterness, dry finish

MOuth is med bod higher frothy carb

Overall not that great, I think they need to filter the water a bit more, lager at a bit lower temp as well, wasn't that great overall

Can. Clear bright gold with ring and loose island, head fizzes away immediately. Grassy light noble bready aroma. Very sweet honey bready malt with minimal finish that is dominated by an awkward mintiness. Medium cloying body lively carbonation, fizzy for style. Not good unfortunately.

16 oz. can.
Can's bottom reads:

"04/09/21
Get Well Soon, DMX"

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a bright, straw colored body with scant lacing. For being unfiltered, it sure doesn't have mach haze at all. Nose of a bit of bready malt, cracker, biscuit with a tad spice. Taste mirrors nose pretty closely with a bit of peppery spice on the finish. Nice feel and overall, I was going to call this a Kellerbier when adding it, but after pouring (and it subsequently lacking in haze), I went for Lager - American. Quite solid lager, nonetheless, and wouldn't turn down another one.
Cheers!
