Our West Coast IPA boasting pure flavor and aroma. A lovely blend of West Coast hops, this beer is extremely approachable for everyone. Tropical, fruity, a pretty straw color, and a light body allow the hops to take center stage, plug in, and let it rip.

Had on tap at brewery 5.17.19
Easily the best of the beers I sampled. It’s the new version of the old school west coast IPA that are seeing a rebirth. The hop profile leans slightly more medicinal than piney.

On tap at brewery (revised week later):
Nice clear golden with a foamy white head. It did take the beertender a few pulls of the tap to clear the head from the thin IPA glass. Nice lacing that slowly fades to persistent spots.
A slightly pungent hop-forward smell, with a tolerable amount of onion/garlic. Mix of grass (both kinds) and light grapefruit pith mainly.
A week later the pungency has faded a tad and the pith has become a tad more prevalent.
Taste has a decent clean malt backbone, with a bit of bite from both carbonation and onion bite. Quick mellowing produces lemongrass, herbal hops, slight dankness, and a bit of a lemon-citrus accent. The beer leans slightly bitter until the very end, where a dry, slightly sticky feel exposes a deeper, resinous bitterness.
A week later l am getting a little bit more earth up front, but it’s still fairly herbal. The lemon citrus accent rolls into a more grapefruit pithy taste than I got last week.
This is a nice IPA that is fairly bitter but won’t rake your tongue with the levels of it. Fresh, it reminded me somewhat of Stone’s base IPAs, and I’d have been interested to do a side-by-side of them. With the added earth tones I’m getting today, it isn’t reminding me of the classic at all any more.
