At the brewpub: By doubling their 2 Cloud 9, most of the good qualities of that beer where lost, leaving an extremely average brew. No head, no mouthfeel.

On tap at brewery:
Bruised banana with a couple splashes of orange juice. Cloudy, uniformly so. Medium thin ring with allusions to a sheer head atop the beer.
Pineapple comes through in the nose, as does a more bitter reedy grass bitterness. There’s some sweetness perceived that hopefully doesn’t translate as much in the taste.
Ok, not a sweet malt, but a pretty solid grain and oat or maybe wheat-like opening taste. More malt flavors than expected from the nose, with the juice gone, but a very light pine to herbal minty is noticed, and even a little banana.
A medium feel with a light tingle from the carbonation, and not much of a presence from the 8+% offering.
Needs a little more depth of flavor for my tastes, but it’s a decent offering people who are bigger fans of the lower IBU NE IPAs could enjoy more.
