A classic English porter with a twist. Deep brown in color with waves of chocolate, sweetness, biscuit, and coffee notes that come crashing together in this beer. Peanut butter is strong on the nose, but blends perfectly with the other flavors to make this beer a treat year round. Do yourself a favor and savor the flavor!

Pours dark brown with a clear body (ignoring depth of color) with a little investigation. Head is mostly absent, but huge, soapy bubbles rip the glass. It wouldn’t look bad if it were from a cask. Surprisingly, they produced a few spots of lace.
Nose is huge on the peanut butter, which they claim and could be good considering it is a PB porter. However, it’s a bit too powerful. There is a hint of chocolate from the malt if I pay close enough attention.
Feel is slightly on the watery side of the more traditional light porter style. The peanut butter is less present in taste, actually to a good level initially. The porter notes are there initially, but drop off, leaning an oddly astringent coffee flavor mixed with peanuts. A mild bitterness ends, leaning a tad earthy.
Some interesting individual aspects, but they don’t agree on a nice happy place where they all can shine.
