A lovely balance of malt and hops leaning towards the hoppy side of things. New Zealand Montueka hops take the lead with Idaho 7 and Cascade complimenting. Munich, light Crystal, and a whisper of chocolate malt give this beer a beautiful amber color. The ingredients come together to create a slightly sweet, tropical, dank, fruity, and sharky beer. No sharks were harmed in the making of this beer.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a medium amber with a clear body, like an iced tea that’s been watered down a little by ice. Head is near white, and lasts as a fuzz atop the beer for a while. Lacing is moderate.
Nose is citrusy with a touch of medium toasted grain bread. The smell is pretty light, such that I can’t tell is a slight butterscotch/caramel note is an off note or a mix of malt and citrus.
Beer starts with a watered down orange and lemon taste - whole fruit included. A tea-like flavor comes as the malt joins in. The impression of an iced tea with citrus slices (orange, lemon) is pretty strong.
The feel is of light to medium carbonation, making it fairly smooth but risking feeling a little flat. The back end has a light bitterness that is the best part of the beer. It stems from citrus pith with a hint of pine and mixes well with the lingering tea/toasted grain that makes it through. A little citrus pulp does make it through as well.
Overall, little too citrusy for me. The brewery’s description of tropical and dank don’t seem to fit, but fruity and [slightly] sweet aren’t too off. It is no Lead the Way, that’s for sure.
