33 IBU - This malt forward amber hued ale is a lovely beer to session this holiday season. British malts of Maris Otter and Double Roast Crystal were selected and paired with traditional British Fuggle hops to help shape this malty beer.

On tap at brewery:
Says nitro, but the pour was slow and didn’t have that nitro shower as it came to me. The head was a nice solid pack of bubbles in a yellowing newspaper off-white color. Soapy remnants with fair lacing capabilities. The body is a lovely clear medium amber color.
Smell is light, malt driven tea with a little spice and mineral notes. Taste is a mix of nutty, earthy, and tea-like malt notes with some mineral notes following. An earthy to grass/spruce bitterness counters. Feel is smooth if a little flat, I’m guessing it’s a bit from the “nitro” aspect. A slight husky-bitter coating remains after each drink.
I was wondering if this might come across more as a mild, and the somewhat failed nitro did seem to add a cask ale feel (though the beer started cold). A nicely balanced ale that has a little bit more balance than I expected from the brewers description.
