Imperial Chocolate Milk Stout aged in Maker's Mark Barrels - 25 IBU
Opaque, chocolatey goodness! Cacao Nibs make themselves known immediately on the nose. A blend of dark specialty malts British Target and East Kent Golding hops are also well represented in this robust dessert beer. A generous amount of lactose in the boil adds a creamy mouth feel. Conditioning in fresh Maker's Mark barrels for over three months adds to the complexity and balance of this delicious beer. Oui Oui!

On tap at brewery:
Typical near black body, with a nice tan mocha head that looks creamy in its tight formation. Initial lacing is fair.
Nose is chocolate (cake and liqueur) with a nice coconut-tinged woodiness aided but a light sweetness and just a hint of bourbon.
A smooth milk stout greets with a mix of malt-driven dark chocolate that is morphed by the tang of the milk sugar aspect. Like the nose, just a little bourbon sneaks through. The infused wood is noticeable though and comes with a macadamia nut and coconut edge. The wood itself lingers in back.
A much better offering than their last BBA attempt for my tastes. Could use a little more of the spirit, and I could see some finding it missing after some time.
