Well alright, alright, alright..there's a party at the moon tower. A traditional German Hefeweizen, this beer was brewed in accordance with German Reinheitsgebot. Wheat makes up the majority of the grain bill and yeast is left to do the work creating a complex bouquet of bananas and clove. See you at the moon tower!

On tap at brewery:
Pours the color of the sun near the horizon as it starts turning orange yet is still mostly yellow. Cloudy body, but medium cloudy, as expected for the style. Head and lacing equivalently meet standards.
Nose is banana, spicy clove, citrus, and on some deeper whiffs, a little onion or alcohol. The latter is out of place but fleeting when I get it. It also doesn’t carry to the taste, which is wheat, a more earthy spice, banana with a light grapiness, and a spritz of orange in back.
The feel was the strong point up front. It got a little less creamy as I drank it, but maybe I was just getting used to it. Soft, with a moderately dry finish that also helps and not something I get a lot from American hefes. Quite well done, IMO.
