When not in the dojo, Rye-U is busy brewing his signature RyePA which goes down, diagonal, and forward easy and punches you with crisp hoppy goodness! The chi to this brew is channeling the flow of hop energy and rye power to bring both bitterness, bright flavor, and crisp rustic maltiness together in harmony. The focusing of these different aspects at one’s center coalesces the classic “C” hops Chinook, Centennial, and Cascade into a signature blast of flavor that has a shoryuken shot at pleasing your taste buds!

On tap at brewery:
Deep amber that is mostly clear; slightly dirty off-white head with small amount of lacing.
Nose isn’t popping, though I do get some rye malt and a hint of spice with some effort. Taste has an earthy rye malt opening and base. Hops bring a brief fruit note that turns the malt towards honey before getting more classic pith bitter with a late pine note.
Pretty solid beer with rye and hops both coming through.
