Brewed in collaboration with Weathered Souls Brewing Company and hundreds of others In 2020 we teamed up with 1100+ breweries worldwide in an effort to help end racial discrimination. The beer was so good, we aged half of it in Willett Bourbon barrels for 16 months. It is now, finally, ready for release. Each sale helps support the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and gives voice to marginalized people everywhere.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, whiskey, cocoa and mild dark stone fruit. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate char and biscuit, coffee, whiskey and a touch of bitter bakers chocolate. Dry coffee, whiskey, woody oak and char finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This appears to have been brewed and available last year (although I missed seeing it, despite watching for all BiB variants) and is now canned again having been subsequently aged in whiskey barrels. The base seems to be a pleasant, dry stout with moderate charred malt and coffee notes. Nice whiskey and woody oak character from the barrel. As always, the basic recipe of the the BiB stout are solid and flavorful. Nicely done and I wish I could have tried the two versions side by side.
