Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a lightly hazy, light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of bready malt, clove, Belgian yeast and lemon. Flavor is grainy malt with a hint of yeast, clove, lemon, a touch of funk; finish with clove and summer herbs with light noble hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A blond that is obviously Belgian inspired and made with Belgian yeast, but also some saison dryness and and touch of funk. Clove to touch on its Belgian roots, then some summer herbs to add a bit of character. Apparently made with pilsner and Saaz hops, but does not have much noble hop character. Nice domestic take on the blonde style that pushes the envelope a bit to goo effect.
