From a can. Decent enough NE IPA that is smooth and easily drinkable. Made a few styles of hops but the Citra-Hops overcome most other flavors. A strong citrus taste is in both the start and finish of this drink. Almost overpowering in a way that this could be advertised as an orange beer. Lacks a real depth of flavor. With a higher ABV, dark brooding can-art and Citra-Hops the last flavor advertised I expected something a bit more robust but instead had a straightforward spring/summer styled drink. Certainly off of my expectations.

On tap at The Beer Temple in Chicago. An average NEIPA, only stronger than it needs to be.
I have a long history of not liking NEIPAs like NEIPA lovers like NEIPAs. So, I forego the review except my common complaint, the aromatic hops promise paradise and the bitter hops clamp down on the buds. (Kinda like a bad marriage.)

I forgot to ask The Beer Temple about how Tripping Animals got to Illinois (or even why they eventually want to deal with our ABC... another bad marriage.) So instead of talking about bad marriages, let me give Tripping a micro-review. They are prolific for a three year old; some 232 beers listed on BA and slightly more on UnTappd. But they are renditions on the IPA formulas and kettle sours. So, I will take a pass on revisiting here or in Florida.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy smoothie orangish with very thin white ring head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank stone and apricot fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with apricot and other tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Pours a bright orange with a murky / opaque transparency. Head is a finger and a half of off-white foam. Aroma is grapefruit, tangerine, clementines, and earthy, resiny hops. Flavor profile is grapefruit, tangerine, clementines, orange zest, and earthy and resiny hops. More tropical fruits in the flavor than the nose, leading to a slightly sweeter flavor profile. Everything is elevated slightly in the flavor profile when comparing it with the nose. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a light silty texture that turns to more modest bubbles at the finish. Overall, a sweet leaning NE IPA that focuses on hops, but lacks some depth or emphasis.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.
