Pours clear dark brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big pumpernickel, bread, rye, and flat cola syrup. Sweet, low carbonation, medium-heavy bodied. Maybe a bit too sweet. Has the mouthfeel of cough syrup. There is a hit of cherry on the nose that does not come through to the beer. Tried it, but I prefer other kvasses. Will not get this again.

Scored this small glass bottle at Ideal Bakery. Left one on the shelf.
Cap is removed with nary a sound. Uh oh.
Pours a dark brown cola color, some larger bubbles on the surface, but no head or bubbles after a few seconds. There are are a few stray bubbles that surface, so technically it has trace carbonation. Perfect clarity when held to the light, not that it means much here. Even the picture of the glass on the label has a head on it, I was robbed.
Aroma is a little musty at first, damp and earthy with rye bread soaked in sugar syrup.
Taste is odd, basically a soda version of Ricola candy. Very sweet with an unusually nutty aftertaste, first it was cashew then hazelnut. Thin limp and sickly sweet. Going to dump the rest of this. It tastes slightly different than the usual tootsie roll rye soda, but not really worth it, IMHO.
