(500 ml bottle, code PO#62091, 'unpasteurized pale beer with the taste of honey'; purchased bottle off shelf, along with one of its dark version as well; the labels of each do not appear to be the current domestic Polish versions... decanted into a fat tulip)
L: polished-clear, honey-gold colored liquid; two-finger tall, rocky, cottony, off-white froth atop... keeps a broken, messy, bubbly cap, even lacing in crusty splotches
S: quite noticeable honey scent on the nose, with a sort of pretzel (hard and/or soft) grainy character in its foundation, and a perhaps earthy-musky floral undertone rounding it out... overall moderately bold intensity, intriguing if not quite inviting
T: honey is very much at the fore, with its rather vibrant expression lingering long through the aftertaste; it lends an impression of sweetness most notably at the start, but the finish seems relatively dry... after a long pause following the second big sip, the character of the honey becomes more earthy-floral, while the malt/fermentation has a mellow, vaguely helles lager flavor... an herbal bitterness and spice slowly builds, only solidifying presence more than halfway through
F: ample carbonation, mildly effervescent in the finish; approaching medium-bodied, with some of its roundness and mellow viscosity I'm sure coming from the honey added... a touch of residual film left on the palate, but short of sticky; delicate spicy/boozy stun buzzing the palate
O: a heck of a lot more flavorful and enjoyable than I'd anticipated... while it's arguably nicely balanced, even kind of moreish, it took some dedication and patience to finish the bottle; so it's a sipper?... at any rate, pleasantly surprised, but not something I'd drink too often (1729)

Firstly, this beer is listed as retired, I purchased one earlier this week
The color is dark, darker than you would expect a honey beer to be. Th taste is overwhelmingly honey, so that you can'r taste anything else in it, It reminds me very much of mead wine. If you like an overwhelmingly honey taste, sort of like drinking liquid honey (though not sticky) with a little alcohol added, this is for you. if you don't this isn't for you.
