An imperial lager from SYC - double version of 4.4% lager Clock Out.
Pours a pale cloudy yellow with scant short lived fine bubbly head.
Nose of grainy malt - initially notes of corn, but more fruity and a touch floral - apple, pear.
Taste of sweet grainy cereal malt - fruity - apple ? touch of acetaldehyde - boozy and…did I mention sweet.
Smooth and boozy medium full mouthfeel with brisk carbonation - but certainly a bit too sweet.
