Served On-Tap
A – Pours a deep dark black with bright ruby red edges, head is mocha colored, a little thin, but leaves nice lacing behind.
S – Smells of sweet raspberries, cherries, bitter roasted chocolate malts and light coffee.
T – Slightly tart with big notes of raspberry, cherry pie filling, chocolate covered raspberries, light funkiness and tart, chocolate malt backbone. Complex.
M – Thin-Medium bodied, lighter than the norm for the style.
O – A unique and perhaps overly complex beer, not sure that this one is any greater than the sum of its parts, seems to struggle to find a balance of all the components.
