Poured from 375mL corked & caged bottle into a tulip.

Appearance: deep, rich golden hue with just the tiniest hint of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam that didn't stick around especially long. Not a bad looking beer, though.

Smell: tart with just a little bit of farmhouse funk and a nice, balanced level of sweetness. An uncomplicated sour that is nonetheless enticing.

Taste: tart up front with a moderate sweetness. Tartness continues through to the end with a candylike finish; it's like tart malt candy. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent enough level of carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: tart, sweet and drinkable; this thing is totally refreshing and I just want to quaff more.

Cork and Caged 12.68oz bottle poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a clean, lightly hazy, honey-orange-gold color with about a half-inch of just off-white head that dissipated quickly to a thin cap that had very good longevity.

The aroma was an immediate blast of barrel and Brett when the cork popped. After a few moments, the Brett dominated, in a very nice way. There were also some soft fruit undertones. Some barrel notes were at the front of the tongue, and the Brett dominated the middle and back. That fruit note provided a gentle counter-point to the tartness of the Brett.

The body was light, effervescent, and clean, with a crisp, dry finish. Drinkability was great, I could have easily knocked back a second bottle. Overall, a very nice brew. A must grab if you see a bottle.
