the label doesnt say wild tacoma on this at all, just says wild cherry montmorency, but i am assuming its the same beer. the abv is also different, my bottle is a batch two, and the abv is listed at 6.5%. finally, it seems like some of these beers could be listed under either brewery page for these guys, i used to think all the wild bottled ones were from the original location and the cans were from the production brewery, now i am not sure, but this has the clear not the paper label, a cork and cage setup, and grey background behind the text on the bottom. its just pink in the glass, not red at all, but i guess thats the cherry type, totally dead still too, no amoutn of aggression in the pour can raise any head, which i generally dislike in this style. the aroma is awesome though, more funky and lambic-esque than the balaton farmhouse we had right before it, definitely a fully wild profile, plenty tart and bacterial too, with a pie cherry tang, a vinous tannin element, and lots of oak. the flavor is all of this, maybe too sour for some, but it is more than just acid, lots of bretty character and rustic funkiness here that keeps it interesting even though there is also a touch of vinegar to it. the cherry is bold but remains but one of many elements, a wheaty seeming base, old and starting to fade to me, the oak of course, and the fermentation profile. hints of iodine and wet wood and something slightly medicinal to the cherry, all leading back to a lambic essence, which i love. this could really use some life, and without it, seems less refine than the best beers these guys make, but its distinctive and delicious and another killer beer in their lineup overall. this did not stand out as one of the best bottles we opened during our cherry beer night, but i continue to be enthused about just about everything these guys do!

Bottle from Lúpulo.
Bottle says batch#1.
The label says Montmorency cherries. I don’t actually know what kind that is.
Looks like pink hazy juice with minimal white head.
Taste smell similar. Tart cherries, super sour, brett, oak. Not very sweet.
Super dry, rather thin.
Standard to good fruited wild ale.

Perpetually under rated due to the lack of brand awareness / hype. This is a deeply satisfying expression of Montmorency. Head fizzes out quickly leaving a limpid dull mauve hued glass. The scent carries pure fruit, more meat than skin but with a hint of tannic grip ... subtle cinnamon underneath. Flavor carries that deeper. Slight funk. Moderate acidity and a clean finish.
