16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear golden pour with a small foamy head. Dry, grainy, grassy aroma. Taste offers a bit of bitterness up front, tiny bits of the biscuit malts, hint of sweetness, then back to the buzzy hoppy finish. It has that Italian chalky feel as well. A bit hoppier than expected, but right on target.

an italian style pils (which we should have a category for here on BA) done in collaboration with wayfinder. yet another awesome new beer from these guys, it is truly endless and i am thankful for the steady stream of releases, always something exciting to drink from these guys showing up! this is clear, bright yellow, sunny colored, with a lathery white head several inches high and with great retention, some lace rings as it drinks, and slowly rising carbonation the whole time, real nice looking. the aroma is a touch sweet, floral hoppy, european on the lager yeast, not overly robust, super clean, mineral forward, and earthy. the flavor is about the same, not overly hoppy but distinct on the finish and plenty bitter too, but balanced by some sweeter malts through most of it, slightly fuller bodied than most, and with a doughy element to the yeast, which is familiar here, maybe the same strain used in a few of their other lagers, or something real similar. its well proportioned and still pretty crisp, but is ideal with spicy mexican food, i wish i bought more than one! very brightly carbonated, easy drinking, and exceedingly fresh, something i rarely notice in a lager like this but it is striking here, maybe because of the extra hops, it stands out to me. a neat collaboration, i love an italian style pils these days, glad they are becoming trendy. this is a darn fine example of the style!
