Draft at Bitter Creek. Clear, dark golden pour, paper thin head. Malty aroma, brown bread notes. Taste adds a hint of sweetness, malty, brown sugar caramel .

Pours crystal clear honey and copper color; lively head and active carbonation visible, low retention, no lacing worth mentioning. Despite the lack of head aspects this beer is very pretty to look at due to its clarity and color.

The nose is interesting as it smells very crisp and fresh, almost lager like to me...as it warms there is more of a biscuit like presence but I keep picking up floral notes, some graininess, an earthier honey note is also present.

The taste is biscuit like with some herbal and earthy hop presence, there is an interesting grainy bite on the finish; the bite almost reminds me of green tea in a sense.

Mouthfeel is light, clean drinking, with a low but astringent like bitterness on the finish, again grassy in a sense but slightly harsh despite it being low; there is also a slight metallic feel on the tongue.

Served in 16oz jelly Jar type glass. Poured a clean, clear medium amber color with less than a half-inch of white head that had moderate retention and lacing.

The aroma was mostly slightly sweet malts, with some nice grain and a touch of gentle hops in support.

The flavors were very similar, just expanded and more clearly defined.

The body was just a touch on the full side of medium, smooth, and had a medium finish that might have leaned a bit towards sweet.

Drinkability was very good, you could easily have several of these.

Overall, a very nice version of the style. certainly worth trying if you see it.
