these guys make and have made so many great hoppy beers, but this one really stands out as unique and excellent to me, seems like a whole explosion of southern hemisphere hop goodness, smells exactly like it tastes, no drop off from the dry hoppy aroma to the hop flavor, no harshness either despite high hop saturation, its very well done, and the hop profile even flatters their yeast in here, which sometimes stands out a little to me, but it works better here than in others, this is just really good, juicy as they come too. slightly orange in color and with a mild haze to it, a high white head and lots of bubbles. fresh pineapple and cantaloupe, lime zest and lime leaf, coconut flesh, tangerine, even guava, it takes me on vacation, do i get some kiwi fruit too? green grape, watermelon rind, some bitterness, lots going on with the hops here. there is a light honey note to the malt that seems to beef this up slightly, extend it in the finish, and support the hop profile really well, but its also fermented pretty darn near dry at the end, the best of both worlds in terms of texture and flavor from these elements, all in service of the hops of course. honeydew melon, starfruit, this is supremely fruity and not sugary, very well refined, a cool selection of hops too, whatever they are. i continue to be impressed by these guys, in all styles really, but their hoppy stuff has been sensational. check this one out if you havent yet, or if you thought these were starting to all taste the same. this is one of the more unique ones in the range in my opinion.
