a clearish, lighter drinking, wonderfully fresh ipa, nice to find this one on tap, i have been loving these guys since they burst on the scene here in idaho, so many beers and all of them slay. this one is wheat based, has a neat mix of hops, and drinks a little easier than a lot of them, almost on the pale ale spectrum for me, with tempered bitterness and a lot of balance, despite being dry hop driven. its got a great head on it, white and wispy, holding above the rim of the glass, and it smells wonderful, fresh spruce needles, apricots, and cantaloupe, maybe a light berry sweetness too, pretty dynamic, global, and cool. there is a peachy note in the flavor too, some floral honey, and more juicy melon qualities melding with the familiar northwest aspects of this, yum. the freshness is on point, the body is light but not overly so, the ferment is invisible, it finishes dry, and its full of life on the palate. really nice hot weather drinker, but unique and layered enough to be a star in my fridge all year. i could drink a dozen of these...
