i dont really think this is supposed to be a hazy, but mine pours a little faded and frosted looking from the tap, not beer clean glassware either doesnt look like, from the little bubbles all along the edges, but who knows. this isnt one of their more compelling ipa types, at least in this instance, but its always nice to get some e9 on tap, so not complaining. the nose here is canned pineapple, bitter green tea and herbs, and some slightly toasted malt, a tad sweeter than many of their others, but its necessary in the taste to balance the bitterness, this is one of the more assertively bitter ones i have had from these guys, downright robust there at the end. some clean lemon in the flavor too, pithy orange and grapefruit, a little woodsy pine needle thing, and then the assertive bitterness on the swallow, good flow to this, but not as unique nor as refined as i have gotten used to in their beers, and this seemed just a tad sloppy and underwhelming to me. some light peach as it warms, some greenness too, flavorful overall, but to me this is good not great, oddly thick and thin at the same time, stays with me weirdly, and is maybe less carbonated than it should be. will try this again in the can, but id didnt quite hit for me as they usually do from the tap yesterday...
