Tiny Haus: Add It Up

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a four finger khaki head that dissipates slowly to a persistent one finger cap with nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, mild cocoa and hazelnut. Flavor is dark toasted malt, vanilla, milk chocolate and a little hazelnut, which shows up a bit more in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess and nice mouthfeel. A solid pastry stout that checks all the boxes, but doesn't break any new barriers. Vanilla is the clearest note with chocolate and hazelnut contributing a moderate influence; still fairly well balanced. On the sweet side, but not cloying; well within the boundaries of the pastry stout style, but a little too sweet for me. Looks awesome.
