A: Poured a deep purplish crimson color with a nice dirty white cap which fades after a few sips leaving some monimal-moderate lacing on the side of the glass.
S: The nose is sweet, big sweetness, mucho candy sugar and dark fruits in the way of purple grapes and raisins. A nice litle booziness stings the nostrils and lets me know this has a little punch to it.
T: Initial taste is candy sugar coated dark fruits; grapes, plums and a measure of raisins. Follows the nose well and provided what I wanted and was expecting. This beer is pretty sweet, a little bit of heat appears upfront which persists and really ignites on the finish, not overly heat but it provides a nice warming sensation almost like I would expect from rye like pepperness spice and heat
M: Medium-full bodied, well carbonated, sweetness coats the palate and provides some decadent layers of flavor. Has a somewhat silky feel and yet a bit sticky
O: A good take on the style which I immensely enjoyed courtesy of the E-9 on my birthday.
