On tap at the brewery. ABV is now 7.4%.
L: Hazy, dark orange/bronze colour with one finger of head that leaves rings of lacing.
S: A hint of citrus, but not much.
T: Pine, Seville orange marmalade, mars bar caramel and a hint of ground ginger Moderate bitterness.
F: Medium/light body, slightly sharp mouthfeel, hot alcohol.
O: Great to have a west coast ipa for a change but, for 7.4%, aroma and mouthfeel are really disappointing. To be frank, this is way underpowered across the board for such a high alcohol brew.

On tap at Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor, NYC.
Pours a lightly hazy brassy golden color. A wispy layer of creamy foam retains well, nevertheless, and yields lacing.
Fruity aromas of berries, peach, apricot, grapefruit and orange. These are accompanied by notes of bubblegum, grass, mint and toasted biscuit.
A fine balance of sweetness and bitterness throughout. Fluffy biscuity and caramel malts and creamy wheat give way to oily hops flavors. Notes of grapefruit, orange, pine, grass, berries and jammy peach and apricot flavors. A firm bitterness throughout. The finish is smooth.
Medium bodied with a semi crisp mouthfeel, yet, with a smooth and creamy malt backbone. The carbonation is moderate.
Solid IPA all around. I enjoyed the West Coast style bitterness along with the malt profile.

Hazy and burnt-orange color. Thick rocky cap. Piney-grassy aroma and taste. Bitter finish, just like IPA's use to be :)! This is a nice example of an old-school west coast IPA, I hope to see more like it.
