Highly aromatic and full bodied double IPA with a round, long, lightly bitter finish. Thought Control uses both Hawaiian and New Zealand hops (Waimea and Motueka), lending it a typical punchy, tropical hop character and long finish.

Look: Dark amber orange, not too foamy.
Smell: Pine and orange and grapefruit dominate.
Taste: Pine and citrus, a nice bitterness in the background. Some traces of malt in the aftertaste.
Feel: Viscous and sugary, moderate carbonation.
Overall: A good hoppy IPA.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES NYC. Pours a murky dark amber/tan orangish, rocky off white head that dissipates, minimal lacing, smell is pungent candied orange rind, papaya, cantaloupe, and doughy malts, hints of orange zest and mildly dank pine, taste is a very brief cantaloupe and malt husks up front that is blasted to oblivion by intense raw hop bitterness, borderline astringent, after a few sips pithy grapefruit zest starts to come though, hints of mango/tropical fruit and spearmint/pine on the back end, feel is medium to borderline thin bodied, minimal carbonation, and some hop burn. Highly aromatic and aggressively bitter, citrus/grapefruit character comes out more as it warms but it stays bitter through and though. Very much so a Manhattan DIPA.
