We're not that fancy, and neither is this porter, but it is still the City, after all. Enjoy a couple of these as you throw on a dress or straighten your bowtie, even if it’s just to hop on your next Zoom meeting. It still feels good to look good, and you’ll learn one of life’s secrets – you can get away with a lot more if you’re well dressed. Black Tie is a light-bodied, easy-drinking porter with notes of dark chocolate and a big espresso roastiness.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty roasty, with espresso, caramel, and some licorice.
This is straightforward, but well done, with lots of roasted malt, a touch of licorice, and a coffee like sweet darkness on the back end. There’s also chocolate.
This is creamy, and pretty rich for the lower ABV. It’s nicely drinkable.
This was real solid – just a great no frills straightforward porter.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES NYC. Pours very dark amber brown with two fingers of creamy dark tan head, nice lacing, smell is sweet smokey roast malts, charcoal, firewood, cigarette, hits of bbq sauce and coffee, taste is smokey bitter roast malts, espresso coffee free beans, bitter dark chocolate, feel is light and thin, soft carbonation. A ruggedly roasty porter.
