A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that left a thin layer covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some additional hints of roasted malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager is incredibly flavorful considering its strength. It is very easy to drink.

Dark copper body, clear; excellent slow rising carbonation; thick head, off-white with a dense sudsy character. Fine dark grain scent emitting a slight char note; sweet and malty. A decent taste; rich malt infused with a moderate bitterness; lightly charred caramel flavor; mild phenol presence; grain husk. Medium body; relatively smooth yet kind of watery; okay residual sugar presence.
I'm guessing this one has been in my collection for a while based on the date below. It does have a lager smoothness going for it along with a respectable dark grain tone. A few minor rough edges, but a decent enough beer.
Poured at 53 °F; ENTER THE CONTAINERS 1/27/21

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 1/27/21, so less than 3 months old.
Looks outstanding in the glass. Black body, ruby red when held up to the light. Small off white head persists in some form throughout leaving very nice lacing.
The aroma is quite heavily roasty
On tasting though, the roast level is reduced. It's slightly sweet, nicely malty, goes down very easy. The roast comes in at the end, smooth, pleasing.
Mouth just about reaches medium, finish is a progression of sweet to light roast.
Overall, really well put together beer. Just when you think it's going to descend into watery, the light roasted malt comes it. Nice beer.

To start i have to say this beer is going to make me have to visit this brewery
A murky cola brown appearance
Just below average carbonation with about a medium body. Overall a nice feel.
Aroma is an odd but really nice mix of toffee and toast. This is followed by sweet bread, cereal, and malty molasses.
The taste is again toast, toffee and a bit sweet on the finish but oddly starts out a little dry. Theres malt, sweet bread, and a bit of molasses.
This was hard to review as it was complex to me but overall it was excellent. This beer has made me put this brewery on a must visit list.

Nice to have a Manhattan brewery! A dark lager with a great gentle head. A whiff of caramel infused in with an otherwise pedestrian lager. Great to try but not rushing off to do this again.
