Great way to start the Oktoberfest season. Amber ale with a toasty malt nose and a frothy lacing head. Flavor is mild and pleasant, bringing out a malty blend of caramel and biscuits. A straight-shooting autumn ale that's sessionable. Pop one and watch the leaves fall gently to the ground.

On draught at Torch and Crown, NYC.
Pours a clear dark amber brown color. A modest head yields frothy lacing.
The nose opens with fruity and floral notes complimenting bready malts. Aromas of biscuit, toast and a touch of roastiness. Aromas of woodsy and earthy hops predict bitterness.
Nicely balanced taste features crisp dry cracker and toasted malts pairing with an earthy and woodsy bitterness. Notes of biscuit, hints of roasted and nutty malt and grassy and floral spices.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The finish is dry and crisp. The carbonation is moderate.
Solid amber type ale, well balanced and good fall weather drinking. I would have again.
